FeverAll for Infants and Children (Fever’s All Better Giveaway Incld. $20 Babies R Us GC))
I’m a firm believer in stocking my medicine cabinet with items that will help my girls feel better when they are sick. After all, there’s nothing worse than dragging a sick child to the store while you read medicine labels, talk to a pharmacist, and stand in line at the cashier’s station.
That being said, giving medicines to my younger girls can sometimes be a nightmare. They always tend to put up a fight and I end up with medicine on their clothes and on their faces. Of course, now I have no idea how much of it they actually swallowed and how much more I should give them.
Well, it looks like FeverAll has come up with a solution.
FeverAll is the top national brand of acetaminophen in suppository form. For more than 30 years, parents have relied on its accuracy and ease of use as a solution for fighting fever and pain in infants or children who can’t or won’t take a full dose of liquid acetaminophen orally.
FeverAll Children’s Strength (ages 3-6 years) and Jr. Strength (ages 6-12 years) formulas are also great alternatives for children who are unable or unwilling to take a full dose of acetaminophen orally, due to vomiting, or have difficulty swallowing due to physical or medical conditions. With FeverAll®, parents can be confident that their child has received the exact dosage of acetaminophen required for their age every single time. At less than one-inch in size, FeverAll is smaller than other acetaminophen suppositories, which makes it easier to administer in infants and children.
Acetaminophen dosing for children has never been simpler or more accurate. No more measuring, struggling with a feisty toddler or worrying if your child swallowed the full/proper dose because they’re spitting up or vomiting. What’s more, FeverAll® Infants’ Strength (ages six to 36 months) is the only infant acetaminophen product available that has dosing instructions on the label.
FeverAll is available at major retailers and drugstores across the U.S., such as Rite Aid, Walgreens and Walmart for a suggested retail price of approximately $7.00 for a package of six suppositories. Learn more about FeverAll at www.Feverall.com.

I really like the idea of knowing that my girls will get the exact amount of medicine prescribed for their age and weight. I also like that there are no more sticky messes all over their clothes, the bed, and their faces. And I really like that FeverAll won’t interfere when the girls are already feeling nauseated.
So stock up on FeverAll just in case your child gets ill in the coming months. You’ll have peace of mind knowing that you’re prepared.

Cypher Kids Club 3D Learning System Giveaway

We all know that technology has taken education to another level but we’ve never experienced anything quite like the Cypher 3D Learning System. Now my kids can learn about animals, colors, shapes, modes of transportation, numbers, & letters in a three dimensional way without the glasses.
We received the Wild Animal Adventures kit which included 18 3D interactive learning cards and a software CD. Just install the software on your Windows PC and launch the program. That’s it! No registration. No profile to set-up. No configurations needed. We had our program up and running within 5 minutes.
To use the software, just click on the animal you’d like to learn about and locate the coordinating card. Bring the scan code up to your webcam and watch the magic happen.
Now, even though I had an idea of what to expect I was still blown away by what I saw. Right on my screen there was a 3D life-like image of a polar bear! Rotate the card and the image rotated, too. Bring the card further back or closer to the webcam to change the size of the image. Remove the card from view and the polar bear stayed right there on the screen . . . walking, moving, trying to catch a walrus, and making polar bear noises. It was truly amazing!
There’s also a narrator that shares some interesting facts about the particular animal and things you probably didn’t know yourself. For example, did you know that polar bears have oily fur which is waterproof? This allows them to shake themselves dry after a swim.
When I first introduced my kids to the program they were speechless. Kaila kept trying to touch the animals and couldn’t understand why they looked so real. Kiana loved playing with the cards and moving the images around on the screen. This gave her the ability to see the animal and their habitat through various angles. Even Kacie who thinks she can’t be surprised by anything anymore was pretty mesmerized. She loves animals so this was especially interesting to her. She enjoyed learning more about each animal and seeing them in their own environment.
My kids and I have always been very visual learners so the Cypher 3D Learning System was pretty awesome in our opinion. It has got to be one of our favorite educational tools that we’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. We’re looking forward to adding some of the other sets to our collection when they become available to the public in June 2012.
Register your email today at Cypher Kids and receive a FREE Digi and Beebot card when the product launches in June!

Roll & Play by Thinkfun (Giveaway)
Sometimes I feel bad for Kaila. There aren’t very many games our there that are aimed for her age group (2-3 years). Yes, there are lots of other toys like blocks, puzzles, dolls but I’m talking about games that include rules that require specific actions. That’s why we were so interested in learning more about Roll & Play ($19.99) by Thinkfun.
Roll & Play is the first game ever designed specifically for toddlers! The activities supported by Roll & Play are designed to help your child shine, supporting healthy development and celebrating success! Roll & Play is the ideal way to gently introduce play patterns and rules through a loving, joyful play experience!

Game play is very simple. Just roll the over-sized fabric die and see what color it lands on. Each side the of the die corresponds to the same colored card – yellow (emotions), purple (body parts), green (animal sounds), orange (counting), red (actions), blue (colors). Whatever color is showing on the die that’s the colored card you pick. On the other side of the card is some kind of action.
Since these are all things that Kaila is able to do by herself she was able to play along nicely. Of course, someone had to read the cards for her but after that she was on her own.
Kaila had so much fun playing with her sisters and I could tell that she was so happy to be included in something that they were doing. Normally, they’re telling her to just sit and watch. Thanks to Roll & Play she can be a part of the fun, too!
And when we’re done, we can store the cards in a pocket located on the side of the fabric dice. This makes taking Roll & Play along with us wherever we go.
We found Roll & Play to be a lot of fun and very educational for Kaila. She’s at the age where she’s just beginning to learn her colors and body parts and this game helped reinforce what I’ve been teaching her. We loved the bright colors of the cards and illustrations. This way even though Kaila can’t read yet she had an idea of what she was supposed to do by looking at the pictures. The only thing I would suggest is to make the cards a little thicker. Kaila bent a couple of them during our first round of play.
Other than that, Roll & Play is a big hit in our home!

A Turtle’s Tale – Sammy’s Adventure (Giveaway)
March 30, 2012 by Kailani
Born on a Baja, California beach in 1959, new hatchling Sammy must do what his fellow newborn sea turtles are doing: race across the beach to the ocean before a seagull or crab captures them. Thus begins Sammy’s incredible fifty-year ocean journey. Along the way he meets his best friend, a fellow turtle named Ray, and overcomes obstacles both natural and man-made while trying to fulfill his dream of travelling around the world. Throughout his travels, Sammy never forgets about Shelly – the turtle he saved on his first day and loves passionately from afar. Based on the actual course of a sea turtle’s life, this story of one creature’s breathtaking journey is a thrilling voyage the whole family will enjoy.

With Earth Day coming up, this was the perfect way to share an important message about the fragile world around us. We followed the life of Sammy the Turtle as he made his way around the world. From the very beginning as we watched the baby turtles cross the sand and go into the ocean until they returned to their birth place 50 years later, the kids were truly hooked! So much so that I barely heard a peep from them throughout this 88 minute film.
One of the things we really enjoyed were the bright and crisp animation of the underwater world. In fact, a lot of the scenes reminded us of Finding Nemo – colorful coral reefs, beautiful fish, swaying plant life. And even though it was a cartoon the scenes gave the kids a feel of what it’s like under the sea.
The characters were adorable and you couldn’t help but root for Sammy to realize his dream of seeing the world.
However, the best part about this movie is the important message that humans need to be more careful when dealing with the environment. There are various scenes where the kids saw how careless acts can affect sealife. In one instance, a ship get grounded and a massive oil spill leaves Sammy’s world covered in the sticky goo. Another scene shows a plastic bag getting stuck on Sammy’s head. There’s also whalers who nearly hit Sammy with a harpoon. This was all done in a way that the kids could understand the urgency yet find it interesting at the same time.
Sammy’s Adventure was one of the best movies we’ve seen in a long time and the kids are already asking if they can watch it again tomorrow. It’s a great addition to our family movie library.
