Goodbye – I’ll Miss You!

No, I’m not leaving again.

However, in my quest to cut back on blogging, I’ve decided to give up the Carnival of Family Life. Don’t worry, I found a good Dad who promises to take care and nurture it as if it’s his very own. He’s hosted a couple of times before so I know he’ll do a great job as the new administrator.

As far as I know, everything will still run the same way until further notice. You can read his welcome remarks here. I hope you all continue to submit those great family-related posts that I enjoy reading! Maybe he’ll even let me guest host once in a while, too!

Is it weird to be a little sad about letting the carnival go? When I first started it back in April, our first edition only had 5 submissions. It’s now over 40 a week! I never dreamed it would be so successful. I owe it all to you guys!

Please stop by and welcome Mike of BeAGoodDad. Wish him luck because he’s going to be a very busy Daddy!

You can guest host anytime you want. In fact, there are openings on Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st for anybody with some extra free time on those days. Since nothing else is going on those days, I’m sure I’ll get a ton of volunteers :)

Thanks for creating the carnival and building it into what it is today. I’m sure I’ll be bugging you for tips any day now.

I don’t think it’s wrong to feel sad, the Carnival of Family Life was your baby. Mike has done an awesome job, he’ll take good care of her for ya.

And of course you will be invited to my “renewal”! 2 years from June will make it 20 years… now all I have to do is win the lottery, lol! I am sure you have had the same experience as me , my kids are a financial black hole. Its the shoes and the jeans that are the killers. :D

I need to book mark him on bloglines. I never submit because I’m not in that “place” in my carnival. But I read it on occasion.

Maybe I should start my own “Carnival of the fat lady sings the blues” or something like that.

**You always come up with the funniest titles!
