Good Mail
I was over at The Wilson Six when I first heard about Good Mail.
It’s basically sending someone a little surprise in the mail to brighten up their day. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive or extravagent. Just a little something to let people know you’re thinking of them. I mentioned to Jennifer that I thought it was a great idea.
So, what did I have waiting in my mailbox when I got home from Disneyland?
What a wonderful thing to come home to. Not only was it a sweet gesture but it’s also a thoughtful one since it’s something I can really use! Words cannot express how touched I am! It’s those unexpected surprises that mean the most.
And if that’s not enough, I also received a Mother’s Day card from Stephanie of I’m Married to a King. Well, I didn’t just receive it – I’m just getting around to posting it (sorry!). It’s kind of expected to get a Mother’s Day greeting from my kids and husband. However, when it comes out of the blue like that, it can really make a positive impact on your day.
Thank you Jennifer & Stephanie for your thoughtfulness and friendship. I am so lucky to have met you in my blogging adventures.
As for the rest of you, be on the lookout for some good mail!

Awwwww.. what sweet gestures! It’s always nice to get something other than bills in the post!
That is so sweet of your friends. ITs always nice to get things in the mail, especially unexpected things.
How sweet! It is the unexpected kindnesses that mean to so much. Little gestures that says someone is thinking of you!
That is very nice! In a world where snail mail is very uncommon, I bet that was a very nice surprise.:D
That is very sweet. Too bad I’m so anti-mail service. hee hee I just hate having to go to the post office.
My reader feed was showing another post for you…but it’s not showing up here. did you delete it? I’ll email you my comments on it.
That’s so sweet. Getting good mail always makes me feel better.
(I did want to post a comment to your leashes question… but it appears the post has left the building even though Google Reader still has it. ???)
In this day of technology, it is wonderful to receive mail that isn’t a bill. I love going to the mailbox and finding an unexpected letter or package. And although I am terrible at making it to the post office, I do love to send packages too.
I LOVE getting fun things in the mail. Even just a letter with a funny story or something. I am also a huge fan of having penpals. I am on my way over to check out the links you gave
Awww…that was very sweet! You are right, good mail is a wondeful idea. I’m going to ponder this idea for a little while and decide whose day I can make better.
I LOVE stuff like that! I looked into joining a Secret Sister exchange but it was all ready closed for that session. I am going to look into it again for next time.
It is so fun to get something in the good mail! I know there are some groups that send things out… maybe I should join one and get in on the fun!
That is so wonderful!! You’ve got some really great friends!
Glad you liked the Good Mail!!! I have had fun sending it out to everyone.
That’s really very sweet! I like the idea of receiving something nice in the mail. It’s a great way to brighten someone’s day.
