Fake! Much simpler with two kids and a kitten!

Eggplant purple! (sounds gross, doesn’t it *grin*)

Jellied cranberry sauce from the can – it’s not Thanksgiving without it.
Have you ever accidentally left the “stuff” inside the turkey before cooking it?
no, but only because my mom did once, and I’ve never forgotten about it.
What is your favorite Holiday tradition?
Driving around on Christmas Eve ooohing and aaaahing at Christmas light displays.
What makes your Thanksgiving meal complete?
Reading the Christmas story before opening gifts.

Dinner for me!:)

Do you decorate your Christmas tree with a theme or a la Charlie Brown?
No theme….just all the ornaments I have….
When do you do most of your Christmas shopping?
Oops, just read the rules, lol. I don’t have a favorite Christmas candy but I do like chocolate with almonds in it.
What’s the best gift you ever received?
My husband gifts me with things all the time so a material gift would be hard to say. I would have to say the best gift I have ever recieved is the gift of motherhood.
Are you cooing the turkey or just eating the turkey.
I am doing both – Eating at My in-laws on Thanksgiving day and cooking my own the next day.
What is the one thong you do on Christmas Eve every year?
finish wrapping presents since my dh likes to shop last minute.

We always have dinner and open gifts at my mom’s on Christmas Eve.

My favorite movie is Jim Carrey’s “The Grinch”

Do you stuff your own stocking?
I do as I didn’t 2 years ago and the kids asked me why mine didn’t have anything in it, hadn’t I been good? I’m still waiting for my husband to put something in
How many presents do you give your kids?
I don’t stuff my own stocking. My daughters always makes sure my stocking is filled with goodies and it seems I always love my stocking best.
What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert?
My kids are grown and Christmas Eve we all gather…they all put little stuff in my stocking! Big fun Christmas morning!
Whats your favorite pie for Thanksgiving?
Pecan. Hands down.
What’s the most unusual food you’ve ever eaten?
when I was pregnant (in the first century) I was starving and nothing stayed down, until I made myself a carrot, peanut butter, and rise casserole.
Do you think we should try to send a woman to mars?
Why would we want to do that. Lets try with men first. If they survive, we will try with more men. Women are important as the incubators of future human martians. (Sarcasm)
When is dinner?
MIL didn’t tell me when dinner is yet. I’m guessing around 2pm though cuz that’s when she’s had it every other year that we’ve been there. We’ll eat left-overs around 5:30 or so…so that by 8 pm after all the food & desserts we all feel like beached whales!

Does your pet get a thanksgiving plate?
No – for two reasons.
(1) Thanksgiving is not celebrated in England
(2) One of our cats is far too fat!

No I don’t like cranberry sauce of any kind.
What do you do right after you eat your Thanksgiving meal?
I sit back and relax. Move to fast and the belly may rip from over eating!

No way! I do not do crowds.
Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve?
We do Christmas Eve with my husband’s family so yes, we do open gifts then.
Do you leave treats out for Santa and his reindeer, and if so, what?
No, we don’t celebrate Santa at Christmas but we do make a birthday cake for Jesus.
What is the one thing you want more than anything else this year?
One thing I wanted more than anything this year was my daughter! The adoption took over three years, so didn’t want another Christmas without her! She’s here!
What is your best homemade gift you have given?

The best homemade gift I’ve given I guess would be ‘goodie boxes’ I made a bunch of different homemade goodies, mixed them all up in different boxes or tins and gave them out.

Yes, but I don’t get to do it often!
Do you have relatives that celebrate holidays different than Christmas?
No, we all celebrate Christmas and enjoy all the family fun that ensues!
If you could give someone any gift at all, no limits, who would you gift and what would you give?
Since no one answered the question as to when they do their Christmas shopping, I’ll answer it. I do my Christmas shopping all year long. Online shopping is my greatest tool.
As to giving gifts with no limits, I would give every person in my support group perfect health so that they wouldn’t suffer any more.
Gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Both actually. On Christmas Eve we all open jammies (so everyone can look good in Christmas Day photos!) & then on Christmas we have more!
How close are you to being done w/ your holiday (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or…?) shopping?
We’re almost finished, but every time we go to the store we find something else to shove into the stockings!
What’s your fav pair of shoes and why?
Right now they are my crocs I just bought. They are the clog style. Ohhh they have taken so much pressure off of my neck and back! Also, in Hawaii we call our flip flops “slippers.” No one calls them flip flops. I love them because they are a way of life here. You can wear them to the beach or to church, but never in someone’s home.
In the morning do you brush your teeth as soon as you get up, or after you eat breakfast?
Both! I love the feel of my teeth after brushing and I brush seberal times during the day.
Sun, rain or snow? What do you prefer?
SUN! I am a sun lover . . . there’s nothing I love more than being out by the pool or at the beach in the hot sun. I love to float around the pool on an air mattress or lie on the beach reading a book. I love autumn when all the leaves change color, but only until Thanksgiving. Then I’m done with it and wish the sun and hot weather would return.
Thanksgiving dinner: Home cooked or at your favorite restaurant?
We are all about the home cooking. I am so ready to smell all the yummy stuff cooking in the oven.
Will you be out shopping on Black Friday?
I didn’t plan on shopping at all, but now I see that target has a sale on something that I want. What to do, what to do?

I had them circle items in a toy catalog. It probably would have been easier if I told them to circle things they DIDN’T want! LOL!
