If you didn’t join us the last time, you missed out on some really great interaction. But don’t worry, here’s your second chance to jump in on the fun.

This is how it works:

I will start with a question/phrase. The next person that comments, please answer the question above you. Once you’re done, include a question for the next visitor to answer. It could be a general question, fill in the blank sentence, or a general topic you’d like to hear about.

Then the next commenter will submit their answer and then think up something for the next person. Keep in mind that this is a family blog, so please keep it clean.

Ready? Here’s the question:

Would you rather be smarter, more athletic, or better looking. Why?

Definitely smarter. If you’re smart, you can become more athletic and even, these days, better looking. But if you’re dumb you stay that way.

Would you rather live in the mountains or by the sea? Why?

  2. poppy fields says:

I would rather live by the sea. I love the smell of the salt water and the infinite sight of water before me calms my soul. I could watch waves for hours.

What is your favorite time in the day? Why?

  3. Kari says:

My favorite time of the day is the few minutes right after our alarm goes off where my husband and I can cuddle. We just hug each other for the few minutes before having to get up and face the day.
Thats the only way I can face some days is having that little bit of cuddle time.

Where do you forsee yourself in 10 years?

  4. Irish Church Lady says:

Wow! Great responses and questions so far!

In ten years I hope to be still working but financially secure and able to travel. I’m pretty sure I will be a grandmother by then. I will have four children who will be between the ages of 27 and 37. Alas, my current babies, my puppydog, grandog and cats will be gone from my life, and just writing that makes me tear up so I hope that I will have maybe one or two to replace them, just not the zoo that we have today.

What is your secret for time management? What works for you or others that you know?

  5. carmen says:

Time management? What’s that? ;) Actually, I work really well with deadlines (I’m a journalist by training). I make lists, I mark things off, I prioritize, and I realize that there are more important things, and life must also be enjoyed!

Who is a celebrity you respect and/or admire?

  6. Jenny says:

I really admire Oprah, but I tend to have a love/hate relationship with her. I really admire the way she uses her millions (ok, billions) to do alot of public service and charity work. She never ceases to give back and she tends to find the “forgotten” people to help, as well. But on the other hand, sometimes it really irks me when she does her shows on her “Favorite Things” and she’s promoting items to middle-class women like $100 pj bottoms. $100?!?! Come on, are they really THAT soft?

Anyway, here’s my question: Do you judge others by higher or lower standards than you use to judge yourself?

  7. NOLADawn says:

I tend to judge other and myself by higher standards. According to my closest friends though, my greatest fault is that I tend to judge everyone to my own standards which are very high… which usually leads to disappointment.

How much time per day would you say you “waste”?

  8. Mike says:

18 hours a day. It would be more but I have to sleep some of the time.

Do you prefer hammocks or porch swings?

  9. Lulu says:

Oh definitely porch swings. I could never get comfortable in a hammock anyway…I just fall right out of them!

How much time do you spend writing or reading other blogs in a day?

  10. Melissa says:

That depends… if you ask hubby he’d say “Way too much” :) Probably 3 hours in total – not all at the same time. A little in the morning and then in the evening some more.
Are you looking forward to the new Harry Potter book? If yes, do you think Harry will survive? lol :D

  11. Mike says:

18 hours. Didn’t you read my last comment? :)

    About 3 hours probably.

When was the last time you watched MTV?

  12. Desert Songbird says:

Looks like Mike answered the reading and writing blogs question, so I’ll answer the Harry Potter question and leave the MTV question for someone else.

I’m very much looking forward to the last HP installment. I go back and forth on whether or not Harry will survive, but overall, I believe he will. In what form is another matter…

  13. Jill says:

I flip past it quite a bit, but rarely ever stop. The only show I watch on MTV these days is Bam’s Unholy Union because I have a huge crush on Bam Margera from Jackass… yeah, I know, nobody else gets it either.

What’s your favorite time of day and why?

  14. Jill says:

Dang… I should have read the other comments. I totally didn’t steal that from Poppy. OK… new question:

What’s your favorite online activity other than reading blogs?

  15. Christine says:

    Digital Scrapbooking.

What is your favorite time of year?

  16. Holly Schwendiman says:

Spring – hands down. Love all the new growth and promise of renewal that goes on.

If you could have one wish what would it be?

    Hugs,
    Holly

  17. Dana says:

Hmm..well, my one wish would probably be (gee, this is so hard to choose) that I would be content and satisfied with whatever circumstances life deals me. Just meaning that I want not ALWAYS WANT MORE ya know? Cause if I put an answer to that question that was materialistic, then I know that really wouldn’t satisfy me cause hey, who can only think of ONE WISH they want fulfilled?

My question for the next person:

If you could live one day of your life over, what day would that be?

  18. Dana says:

I didn’t say that right…I would wish that I would be content and satisfied with where I am now…whatever circumstances life deals me. Just meaning that I would wish that I would not always be wanting more.

  19. Amy says:

January 10, 2007. I had visited my father the day before in the nursing home and was on my way home from church. It was about 9 o’clock at night and I thought about running in to tell him goodnight, but then decided that he was probably asleep and I would go first thing in the morning. I got a call at 12:23 am letting me know that my father had just passed away. I’ll always regret not stopping by that night to tell him how much I loved him.

On a happier note~my question for you is…..

If money wwas not a factor what would be your ultimate dream job?

  20. Pamela says:

    painting.. being an artist

  21. Pamela says:

    painting… being an artist

would you fly to the moon if you got a free trip by Nasa

(don’t know why I popped an early enter on that. )

  22. Sparky Duck says:

oh hell no, I hate flying as it is, a flight to the moon would be sheer torture.

If you got a new pet, what would it be and what would you name it?

  23. mar says:

It would be a white, fluffy cat by the name of Nico…
One person you’d like to have lunch with?

  24. maria says:

Drew Barrymore, because everyone says I look like her(plus a jillion pounds lol).. and she seems like she would be a fun person to hang with…

Money and time and familial obligations are no object…what is your dream vacation, and who with?

  25. Carrie says:

Oh Man! Ever since I got home from Hawaii last year and especially this year, I have dreamed of suddenly coming into millions of dollars. In this dream, my husband and I go to all the Hawaiian islands, find and buy the perfect big home, just between the rainforest area and the ocean. Then we fly all of both of our immediate families (60+people) to stay there for weeks! And since we’ve bought this home, we would go there any chance we could, and invited our friends and family to go anytime they can. You did ask!!

I haven’t read all the questions, so I hope I don’t repeat one, if I do, oh well!

What is the weather like right now at your house? (It’ snowing in Southern Alberta Canada right now. GRRRR)

  26. rach says:

It’s summer here in the Philippines and we’ve been experiencing hot weather lately. My family went swimming the other day to get some much needed relief from the heat.

Name first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word blessing.

  27. Maribeth says:

    Blessing = My husband.

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

  28. jenn says:

I wish that I had better communication skills. I’m a terrible listener and I know that affects my relationships with people.
Or maybe I would change how indecisive I am. That’s a good one.

What is the happiest/most memorable moment of your life?

  29. grace says:

When I found out I was with child, then hearing her first heartbeat is by far the most memorable of all.

For you, what is an exotic vacation/experience?

  30. tiggerprr says:

One to a tropical locale with lots of beautiful landscape and plant life, not too hot, but just right, beautiful oceans to look at, pools to swim in and sheer relaxation.

What is one change you would make to your past if you could and how do you think it would affect how your life is now?

  31. Amber says:

I would have been smarter about credit in college – if I had, we probably wouldn’t be “paycheck to paycheck”-ing it now.

If you were famous, what would you be famous for?

  32. Eve says:

Blogging! of course! Though I’m a LONG way off from that. But I can’t see any movie deals or Record Deals coming out anytime soon. I love writing and where is it more convenient than on a blog?

If you could only choose on CD to listen to for the next month straight, what would it be?
