Nature Valley Granola Thins Giveaway
***THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED***
Congratulations to Patti Hess!
Our family recently got to try the new Nature Valley Granola Thins, a snack that everyone in our family enjoys.
Nature Valley® Granola Thins are delicate squares of granola with a unique, delightfully crispy texture. Each thin is paired with a delicious melt-in-your-mouth Dark Chocolate flavor or creamy peanut butter.  Granola Thins are 100 percent natural, individually packaged and, at 80 or 90 calories per square, a perfect pick-me-up you can feel good about eating.
I was fortunate to receive a box each of Dark Chocolate Granola thins and Peanut Butter Granola Thins. I thought both flavors were good, but being the chocolate addict that I am, my favorite was the Dark Chocolate.
Although the peanut butter and chocolate seemed to stick a little too much to the wrapper insert (not sure if it’s just because of the Hawaii heat or that’s just how it is), at least not all of it came off, and most of the peanut butter and chocolate remained on the granola thin, creating a nice combination of smooth and crunchy.
I really enjoyed the flavor and texture of the oats, and at less than 100 calories per square, the granola thins are a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Each box contains 10 squares, so there was more than enough to share with everyone. I often packed some in my son’s lunch because he really liked them too!
The Granola Thins are yet another product from Nature Valley that combines wholesome ingredients and delicious flavor into a satisfying snack that everyone in our family can enjoy!

Jell-O Mousse Temptations Giveaway

***THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED***
Congratulations to Jackie and Angela R.!
Often times when I get a craving for something chocolaty, creamy, and cool, I’ll buy a multi-pack of Jell-O pudding snacks. However, now I have something more indulgent to satisfy such a craving thanks to Jell-O Mousse Temptations.
I was fortunate to receive a pack of Jell-O Mousse Temptations in the Chocolate Mint Sensation flavor.
The Mousse Temptations were indeed tempting. As soon as I took off the lid of one of the mousse cups, I could immediately smell all the chocolaty, minty goodness.
The Chocolate Mint Sensation Mousse Temptations was everything I expected it to be—chocolaty and creamy, and perfect on a hot summer day.
Talk about indulging my sweet tooth!
It’s cool and delicious, and at only 60 calories, I had to refrain from overindulging and devouring the entire pack!
The Jell-O Mousse Temptations come in other flavors, and I personally can’t wait to try them all, especially Chocolate Indulgence!

P.F. Chang’s Home Menu
July 11, 2010 by Gem

It wasn’t until last year that I finally got a chance to dine at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro. I really enjoyed the food there, and now I can enjoy P.F. Chang’s dishes more often thanks to P.F. Chang’s Home Menu.
The P.F. Chang’s Home Menu line features high-quality ingredients, in
cluding Asian vegetables like edamame, water chestnuts, snap peas and bok choy. Each entrée includes chicken, beef or shrimp, with up to 25 percent of total volume in protein. All of the ingredients are prepared according to P.F. Chang’s specifications, to provide consumers with a consistently satisfying meal each time.
I was fortunate to receive coupons for P.F. Chang’s Home Menu frozen entrees, and since I love chicken, I picked up General Chang’s Chicken and Orange Chicken (ARV $7.99 each on sale in Hawaii).
You can either cook the entree on the stove top or in the microwave, and I opted to use the microwave.
All I had to do was open the package, put the contents in a microwave safe bowl/container, cook on high, uncovered for 12 minutes, and that was it!
There are two servings in each package, and for me, the only thing missing was rice–I usually eat rice whenever I eat Chinese food.
So, earlier I cooked a pot of rice to eat with the Orange Chicken.
Everything was delicious. The chicken and veggies were generously coated with the tasty orange sauce–I liked how they didn’t skimp on the sauce, or the chicken and veggies. The chicken was perfect (it wasn’t dry at all), and the sauce had a spicy kick to it.
Because I ate it with rice, I didn’t eat a full serving of the orange chicken, and even though DH ate some too, we still had leftovers!
P.F. Chang’s Orange Chicken was a quick and easy meal that was also hearty and delicious.
And it’s also a great deal at $9.99 or less for a meal for two (or more!).
I’m really eager to try the General Chang’s Chicken, as well as the other frozen entrees (Ginger Chicken & Broccoli especially).
Now if only they would start selling their appetizers and desserts at grocers too…

Tandoor Chef Original Naan Pizzas
July 6, 2010 by Gem

We were fortunate to receive a box of each of the four varieties.
Each box contains a single, nicely-sized pizza, which is worth two servings, but DH could eat an entire pizza himself (whereas half is satisfying enough for me).
After trying each of the flavors, the hands-down favorite was the Cilantro Pesto. They were all good, but I often make pizzas at home using pesto sauce, which is probably why the Cilantro Pesto was our favorite.
The best part about the pizzas is the crust. We baked some pizzas in our toaster oven, directly on the rack, and others in the conventional oven, and each time the crust came out perfect–nice and crispy (if you like your crust softer you can bake it on a cookie sheet for a longer amount of time).
I would often see naan bread at a local warehouse club and wondered if they would make good pizza crusts, and now I know (but I doubt I would be able to make a pizza as good as the Original Naan Pizzas by Tandoor Chef though!).
I also liked how they didn’t skimp on ingredients. There were huge slices of eggplant, cheese, and tomatoes on the various pizzas, and ultimately they were just delicious.
The Orginal Naan Pizzas were really good, and I hope I can find them the next time I go grocery shopping!
