Aloha Friday - Week 26

March 28, 2008

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing heavy or too thought-provoking.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:

What is your favorite breakfast food?

If I have the time, I love to make Sweet Bread French Toast. If not, then it’s cereal - the sugary the better!

I love fresh fruit and yogurt. I have an Activa vanilla yogurt every morning.
I also like poached eggs on sourdough toast. I have the coolest poached egg pan that is so easy to use and the clean up is great!

A bowl of cereal.

But usually breakfast is a peanut butter and honey sandwich, eaten while driving to work. Or a tuna sandwich.

This is a hard one because almost ALL breakfast food are my favorite! Except eggs, I HATE eggs. But if I were to only pick one I would have to say as of this moment Kix cereal with very cold milk.

I also love French Toast, but right now, my favorite is Peach Scones - a new recipe I just got from a friend. With coffee. I’ll come back and put my link here after I do my post. :-)

My favourite breakfast food is one I don’t have very often - chorizo, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, sour dough and tomato salsa. Divine!

Mostly I think of my thighs and eat museli and natural yoghurt. Nice, but not exciting

A bagel and cream cheese! But I don’t get them very often since they don’t stay fresh for long and there isn’t a good bagel place on my way to work. :)

Eggs, homefries and a bagel with cream cheese. I do not get these often, but they are so good when I do.

My girlfriend just brought me a French Toast Bagel (covered in raw sugar) from our locally owned Bagel Cafe-hard to beat!

Hmm.. For me, it has to be scramble eggs, croissant, sausage and a side of fresh fruit. Yum!! I wish I can eat that everyday. It’s just way too big of a breakfast to do everyday. :)

I love to have baby portibella mushrooms, multi colored bell pepper and green onion ( all finely diced) and soy cream cheese in olive oil scrambled with one range free Omega 3 enhanced egg and a cup of green tea with some sugar in the raw. ( I don’t really like the egg) :)

Oooh, breakfast food! here you go!

I like to fry eggs over easy/medium on top of rice with super crispy bacon. (love the crispy bacon) I pour some soy sauce over it and as per suggestion of my friend danalyn, I sometimes will put hot sauce on it. (she recommended tabasco)

Now that is some tasty treats! :D

I like junk food for breakfast. Cinnamon rolls or donuts are great. Chocolate chip cookies are hard to beat as my favorite.

[I do try to eat better as an example for my kids. :)]
