Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question is:
Since we now know that we’re having another girl, I’m looking for name suggestions. What’s your favorite girl name?

I love Piper, Avery, and Danica!
My favourite girl name is Lillian (Lilly).
Ella or Bella, Lily, Jacinta, Lashaya, Irene
I agree, Lily is a great name. Shari is even better LOL. I also like Ava and Gracie.
My little girl is Ariel I love that name.
If i would of had another girl I love the name Ema.
I always wanted a girl and her name would have been Kate. Her name would have officially been Katherine.
I love Sydney, Madison and I’m really partial to Kennedy!!!
(tee hee)
My daughter is Natalie. I also like Ava, Kate and Camille. Lily is pretty too. We had the hardest time with names – it’s so permanent!
I have to keep my absolute favy girl name to myself. hehe. I love it to much. But I love names of cities or countries!
I am really loving Ava right now! My daughter was almost an Ava, but she is a Chloe
I love the name Lily… of course
i’ve always loved the name jolene. i don’t know why i didn’t name my daughter that =/
We love Cadence and Ava.
I love the name Kilah~ (pronounced with a long i and silent h= Ki la
That’s what I named my daughter !!
I’m partial to two names: Emma and Alexis.
My favorite girl name, that will never be used because of someone else in my family using a similar name, is Victoria Rose.
Hmm, other than the ones we’ve already used… I like Madeline, Isabella, Addison, and Lily. Not that I’ve thought this through or anything, lol.
Emily
Jordan, hands down my favorite girls name is Jordan. We cannot use it because we name our children after a deceased relative by using the first letter of their name and we have no J relatives. But it is still my favorite.
When I was young I said I would name my first girl Caroline. I still like that name. My daughter was adopted so her name was chosen to go with her given name. And Not being able to have my own biological children, I will not be using the name Caroline. that’s my pick for you.
The names we considered for our daughter but, for some reason or another opted not to use, was: Olivia, Caroline, and Victoria
Well, my favorites are Emily & Olivia,
but they are very popular, which I didn’t realize at the time. Some of my other favorites are:

As the mommy of two boys I always had great girl names, but now I can not think of any
I think this is a personal choice and we know you’ll pick the perfect Princess name.
well, my little girl is Olivia, I’m Tara, her middle name is Reese. I like the name Analise, but my hubby never did. hmmmmm… I may have to come back to this!

I like Catherine and Kara. Btw, congrats on your soon to be new little girl!
I love Zoe(thats my daughter) Her middle name is McKenna which I love, I love Sophia, and Olivia. Congrats on the girl!
Amanda is pretty much the most adorable name for a girl. Another option is Merceia (mer-say-uh), which is what I wanted to name our daughter, but since we never had one, it’s available:)
Congrats on the girl! I love my girls’ names – Riley and Taylor.
Oooh…that’s hard. I like the older sounding names…Mia, Sophia, Rose.
Oh, and I wanted to tell you – I’m having trouble with the code on your “grabbable” button on your sidebar. I think there’s an extra line of code in there?? If I put it in as is, and then hit “spellcheck” the code turns into..well, code, instead of a picture. If I hit publish, without doing spellcheck, I get an error and have to erase the first line of the code before it will publish, and then it has no problems. ???
I have always loved the name Ella Grace. What a sweet name!
Have fun choosing!
I do love Lily. That’s so pretty.
Okay my two daughters were Amanda Mae and Kathleen Alynne.
Now what names do I like?
Megan
Heather
Melodie

Mali
Remember one thing. Give your child a user friendly name. Being Maribeth means I spell every day of my life because everyone wants it to be spelled, Mary Beth. I also married a man with a trick last name and have a doctor of Turkish background so I spell, spell, spell! Ugh! There are days I wish my name was Susan!
I have always loved the names Amanda, Sandra and Angela

I did the linky thing above, on my “Bluegrass Gal” weblog. Great idea for Aloha Friday, BTW. Another cool girl name is “Andriel”, which is the name of a daughter of a former co-worker of mine.
All this thinking about names made me remember that in the 5th grade, my family moved from Maryland to Utah. They asked me if I wanted to go by “Lucille” (my given name) or “LuAnn” my nickname. I chose LuAnn, because “Lucille” sounded like one of the Baldwin sisters (those ‘Papa’s recipe’-makin’-spinters) on the tv show The Waltons! *lol*
Congrats on the upcoming bundle of joy !!!

I’ve always wanted to name a girl Aurelia. But I don’t think my husband will go for it…
Aurelia Rose…
I worked with a woman named Lurlie.
She was beautiful inside and out.
I soooooo wanted to name my little girl Lurlie.
The father of my child said NO WAY.
The first name really has to work with the last name and is such a personal choice, but I’ve always loved LEIGH for a middle name with this unique spelling.

My girl name was Kyra. Never got to use it, as we had three boys!

Congrats on having another Princess!!
We just named our daughter Summer Rae.
But my favorite name for a little girl is Marley.
We were going to name our second daughter Nalani. Vocal family members complained to my husband that they didn’t like it which caused many discussions between the two of us and we settled on another name. My little one’s name fits her and now I couldn’t imagine her with another name but I still love the name Nalani and have not seen anyone else with it. (We found it in a baby name book that said it meant calm heavens)
My favorite girl’s name is Angelina (for short is Angel).
