Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Today’s question is:
What is your dream job?
About the author: Owner and founder of An Island Life. Sharing my life as a mother to 3 wonderful daughters, working as a flight attendant, and living a blessed life in Hawaii. |
I would love to work on a TV show! I don’t know exactly what I want to do…maybe writing or producing? Something like that!
Lead singer in a rock band.
Graphic artist or writer. LOL I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.
I have to say that I love what I am doing right now – teaching.
I agree- I teach third grade in the district I grew up in and I can’t even imagine anything better.
)
I would really love to be a crime scene investigator. But because of so much time creating our family I just haven’t had the time for college yet.
At this point in time my dream job would be to stay at home with my little man full time. Unfortunatley that is not in the cards at this point in time!
To be paid to blog.
I’m a first-time Aloha Friday participant. I’m also a former resident of Honolulu. The Aloha Friday idea is a wonderful idea. Thanks for hosting it.
Is to work from home creating webpages for people and companies. Or working at Pixar designing cartoons. Either one, so I can use my comp sci and my creative art side
Always wanted to be a dancer on tour with Janet Jackson! LOL!
I would love to be an art therapist in a women’s prison or juvenille facility.
Actually it is my current job: being a SAHM.
Since my children are all grown now, my dream job is to be back in the Philippines as a career missionary. I loved it with all my heart!
hmm I would run an orphanage!
Honestly, I really don’t know. Something with computers – that was the part that I really loved about my previous job. And I love what I’m doing now with blogging, product reviews and such – although it’s not really a ‘job’ per se. I wish there was a way that it could be though – I’d happy turn this into a career if it were a possibility.
Actually, I think my dream job would be something I love doing that would allow me the flexibility to be there for my family and kids the way I want to be. But does such a thing really exist? Sigh.
This is an easy one! I would LOVE to be a casting director for a major motion picture, preferably a romantic comedy.
JOB???
Something to do with travel…like traveling all over the world and reviewing resorts and attractions and restaurants =)
I would love to be a news reporter.
I would love to own my own drive in theatre. That has been my dream for years
I think I would enjoy writing books . . . I think . . . maybe . . . sorta.
To be a great mom
I would like to work in a nursery (the plant variety). To be outside – only when it’s warm. And the calm of plants
They have no drama which is ever present in our house of 3 girls!
Or to be a cupcake decorator. Oh, the decisions!
I would either publish and edit my own magazine, be a book editor or a movie producer.
Could it get any better than being a SAHM in Hawaii?
Is it just me or is the Mr. Linky missing?
My dream job would be something really creative (since in real life, I’m not very creative, LOL)….I would love to be a novelist.
Writer but I agree SAHM in Hawaii is a pretty sweet deal!
I’d like to run a resort.
My dream job would be to stay at home and raise my kids.
Dream job? Hmmm… I’d love to have my own home decor/decor boutique shop. =)
My dream job would be a graphic designer. =)
Right now I love being a stay at home mom, but some day I’d love to do something involving either a bookstore, coffee shop, bakery or some combination of those three. I’d also love to edit novels.
Honestly..this is it…just being mom! I THOUGHT at one time that I wanted to be a nurse, but I did that and it wasn’t my thing.
I have always thought that running a place that does wedding receptions would be fun!
Although a SAHM now, I am a teacher. I love my job. One day I hope to go back again and be in a 1st grade classroom
My actual dream job would be, regular volunteer work for the Red Cross and participating in Airline Ambassador missions.
I always wanted to be a teacher and was before staying home with the kiddos. Now being a mom has it’s dream job days with a couple crazy days mixed in
BTW-first time here today…I love, love, love your layout.
For me it’s doing what I currently do… be a stay at home mom!
I would be a sports commentator for ESPN!
Right now I’d have to say a college professor
For my dream job… hmm… I really think I’d like to be a professional photographer!!
Definitely to be a midwife. Today is my first aloha friday on my blog
I am not sure. I don’t just take or go after any job. I look for jobs I want to work at, my dream jobs. I’ll quit a job if it is no longer fun or sucks the life out of me.
Being a stay at home mom
If we’re really talking “dream job”, it would be “Being Jennifer Lopez”…
Honestly, being a home schooling s@hm is my dream job – though I’d throw a little more sleep and time alone in there for perfection. = )
To take photos of babies and kids at my home…..and I think being paid to blog would be pretty cool too.
Working for myself or being a storm chaser.
there are lots of things i’d like to do. probably my dream job would be to run a children’s bookstore/boutique sort of like meg ryan’s ’shop around the corner’ in you’ve got mail.
my dream job is to be a CPA!
hahahaha i like just being mommy for now… so, I’d
have to say it’s my ideal job…
It may not be the best hours, or even very flexible right now, but you can’t beat the pay… (kisses, hug, smiles, etc.)
I love staying home with my kids and wouldn’t trade it for any job. That said, I wouldn’t mind if it came with a paycheck!
I’ve wanted to be a cake decorator since I was a kid, but I have neither the talent or the patience for it.
It’s kind of a toss up between photographer or wedding planner.
Hay Sweetie , Be safe. The kids and I were just speaking of you last night. Dove asked if you would send all of us flight tickets to the Islands. Ha!
Well your a stewardess…. and you live there. Sounds logical…:)
I am doing my dream job. I longed for 16 years to be a mother. I always longed to be a stay at home Mom, I am enjoying service work in the elementary helping out under privileged and learning disabled kids without having to have a boss. I am growing my own food, raising chickens and have an awesome sewing /art and crafts studio. I have arrived.
I always wanted a home of my own and a man that loved God (not a religious man).
I am so blessed!
I want to be a buyer for my own store. I don’t want to run the store I just want to be pitched too! lol
To be a stay at home mom and live on the beach in Hawaii… how could you beat that:?!
By the way, I just LOVE your blog layout. . very beautiful.. and makes me reminiscent to our visit to maui and kauai two years ago now for our anniversary… enjoy the warmth as we are enjoying the frigid coldness… Have a great day!
what is this word job you are talking about? HA HA HA!
My dream job would be…. hmmm…. tester of mattresses, that way I could sleep all the time!
I’d love to be working at a little gift shop, scuba shop or something right on the beach.
Sports photographer…
My dream job is probably to own a scrapbooking store!
My dream has always been to work with children. I have a home daycare & get to stay home w/my children. It’s what I love to do!
I would love to work at Binder Park Zoo in Michigan with the giraffes!!!!
My dream job would be to help people and make a difference in their life.
My dream job would be be a food critic…doesn’t that sound like fun? The only problem is I don’t like tomatoes, mushrooms or fish…so that kind of counts me out – LOL!
I would LOVE to be a web designer…if I learned how.
I am doing it…a Stay at Home, Homeschooling mom! The only thing that could make it any better would be some kind of at home job that paid super good and I could just do whenever I felt like it or needed extra money. Boy that sounds spoiled!
I want to work at SeaWorld. Or Subway.
at my age? being paid to be a grandma?
dream job is only what I had a taste of recently being the buyer for an antique shop
My dream job would be to work with dolphins (but in THEIR environment–in the wild–so guess that would REALLY be a DREAM job, huh??)
Working in an office with a view in Maui!
