Aloha Friday #52

October 16, 2008

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:

What’s your special talent?

Aloha for stopping by A Maui Blog, Deborah, Tim, Desert Songbird, Megryansmom, Damon, Thefarmerfiles, Colleen, Baba, TheAngelForever, Em Dy, Tamy ~ 3Sides of Crazy, CoolProducts, Sagemom, Dee, Renee, Muthering Heights, Diana/sunshine, MamaJoss @ Dribbles & Diapers, Amy @ Thoughts from the Mrs, Nina, Jen E @ mommablogsalot, Jamie, Kelly, Sheila, Bridgette, The Glamorous WAHM, HeatherY, Andrea McMann, Jen, Witchypoo, Happyathome, Jenni, Cathi, Tena, Deb - Mom of 3 Girls, Pamela Kramer, Rach (Heart of Rachel)f, My Precious Pennies, and Tara

I have a lot of things I enjoy doing, but nothing I that I do, can I call exceptional! lol I am a work in progress! (crochet, baking, cake decorating)

My Precious Pennies said:

My special talent…hrm…I’ve been told I have double joined elbows, but since I can’t see the back of my elbows I can’t confirm. I’d say it’s my ability to stay up for ungodly amounts of time and still have enough brainpower to function =P.

Rach (Heart of Rachel)f said:

I don’t really have any special talent but when I was younger, I loved joining art contests in school. I won several medals and certificates.

Pamela Kramer said:

I can teach. That is my special talent.

Deb - Mom of 3 Girls said:

Hmm, I don’t really know if I have one. I can write with both hands - is that a talent? And I guess I’ve been told by quite a lot of people that I’m good at breaking things down and explaining them in a way that’s easy to understand and remember. :)

Tena said:

I have the same special talent other mom’s have.. I can grow babies, and do a million things at once! Other than that, I am pretty average!

Can we call blogging a talent? :) I would like to say that would mine ;)

Well, I’m a “glass half full” kinda gal, however if it’s a tangible talent, it would be sewing. I most often see something and rather than buy it I go home and make it.

I’m so glad you asked. I can turn my eyelids inside out. Especially popular around Halloween.

Jen said:

Hmmm… this is a toughie. I’m not so sure I have a ’special talent’. I have a pretty good eye for decorating, though. :)

Andrea McMann said:

Not anything interesting, by any means. All I can do is raise one eyebrow, leaving the other one down. I can do it on both sides.

Like I said, not very interesting….

HeatherY said:

I’m pretty good with a camera and enjoy taking pictures. Other than that, I don’t feel like I have one area that I really excel in.

The Glamorous WAHM said:

I can sing.

Bridgette said:

My special talent is dance. I have been dancing since I was 2 years old and I am now a dance Instructor.

Sheila said:

Juggeling the budget to get all the bills paid every month. If that’s not a special talent, I don’t know what is! LOL

Kelly said:

i like to think of myself as a half decent amateur photographer.

Jamie said:

I really don’t have a special talent. Never played any sports, or anything. Dont draw. Not creative, so I cant write that well. LOL.

Jen E @ mommablogsalot said:

I almost said nothing but I do make amazingly good cookies. Like they always come out good. It’s weird, but delicious.

Nina said:

I don’t think I have a talent but I do graphic design for my work using all the fun computer software tools. I would like to think I have gotten pretty good at this over the years.

Amy @ Thoughts from the Mrs said:

My “special” talent is being able to wear all the many hats a mom wears and still managing to sport a smile.
(on a good day, that is) ;)

MamaJoss @ Dribbles & Diapers said:

This is my first “go” at Aloha Friday - what a great way to end the week :)

My special talent is drawing. I can pretty my draw anything and actually had a portrait business pre-babies. I miss it.

i used to play the piano pretty well but i haven’t played in years so i would no longer consider it a talent.

i have gifts and abilities, but, at the moment, no special talents.

Muthering Heights said:

My special talent is to make something out of nothing!

Renee said:

My special talent has gotta be my ability to juggle a bunch of activities in one day. Just Wednesday we had a class in the morning, went grocery shopping, cooked a sit down dinner for the family, took DD to confirmation and I went out with my friends. Today will be a bit slower with only a field trip and then Girl Scouts…need a dinner plan though!

dee said:

I can make jewelry! I dont do it much anymore…but before i was “mom” I did!

CoolProducts said:

Haha; my special talent is jumping to conclusions.. Doesn’t really help me out all that much but I seem to be abnormally good at it!

Tamy ~ 3Sides of Crazy said:

I wasn’t sure I had one, but hubby says it’s my ability to create a cozy, easy to use home amidst the chaos we call life. What a sweetie he was when I asked him what he thought it was. I think I’ll keep him.
