Being Anonymous

I’m currently on a 3 day trip with a 36 hour layover in a great city. Normally, this would mean just one thing . . . SHOPPING! However, this time I decided to sleep in, get some of my pending reviews done, watch re-runs of Law & Order, and basically just veg out in my pjs all day.

Ahhhh . . . .

Eventually, I got hungry and decided to walk around the city to see what there was to eat. The great thing is that I felt no pressure to get made up or even have to put on make-up. After all, no one knows me here, right? So I just changed into some jeans, grabbed my sunglasses and iPhone, and I was out the door.

It was such a great feeling to walk around feeling anonymous. I didn’t know anyone and no one knew me. And I found that there really is a Starbucks on every corner!

Life is good!

What are you doing today?

Miley Cyrus Has a New Boyfriend

And he’s 20 years old!

Now, my husband and I have a bigger age gap than that but when you’re only 15 years old, it just isn’t right. That wholesome image she tried so hard to project, the image that parents around the world thought provided a great role model for their daughters, I feel, is quickly disappearing.

Apparently, both their families approve of their “friendship” but I would definitely not be comfortable with my teen-aged daughter hanging out with a 20 year old underwear model.

Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong?

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for your participation.
The winner is Ruth.
Congratulations!

Looking for the perfect calendar to keep you organized in the new year? Check out BusyBodyBook.

From the site: “With BusyBodyBook planners, time management is a breeze! BusyBodyBook family calendars provide each family member with their own column to organize and track their schedules and activities while coordinating with each other side by side.”

We received our Mosaic BusyBodyBook and absolutely loved it! I’m a big fan of calenders and planners but it’s so hard to find one that has everything I need. This one breaks down the year into weeks with 5 columns so you can keep track of all your family members’ commitments individually. If you don’t have 5 family members, you can use the extra columns for things like household projects, meal planning, or even personal goals. The possibilities are endless!

BusyBodyBook also has a Fridge Grid available for even larger families. This large view of your weekly activities is great for keeping the whole family on the same page and helps prevent double booking of appointments and after school commitments.

Start your new year off right with a planner from BusyBodyBook!

Buy it!

Stop by BusyBodyBook to purchase your 2009 Personal Organizer ($17.95) or Fridge Grid ($11.95).

Win it!

I have a Mosaic BusyBodyBook to give away to one lucky winner. To enter:

  • Stop by BusyBodyBook before midnight, Nov 2nd and check out their brand new designs.
  • Then come back and mention in comments which one is your favorite. That’s it!
  • A random winner will be selected and notified on Nov 3rd.
  • The winner will then have 3 days to claim their prize.

To earn extra entries, you may do one or all of the following. Each one counts as an extra ticket but you must leave a separate comment for each one.

This giveaway is open to everyone world-wide. Good luck!
