Congratulations!

Can you believe that Halloween is already fast approaching? Where did the time go?
Every year, it’s always a struggle when deciding what the girls will dress up as for trick-or-treating. With Girlie Girl, I can always justify buying an expensive costume by saying that one day Baby Bug will wear it, too. However, I end up feeling bad that Baby Bug always ends up with the hand-me-downs.
This year, I was approached by the Halloween Party Store with the opportunity to review one of their costumes! Yay! No hand-me-downs for Baby Bug this year!
From the site: “For us, Halloween has always been our favorite time of year. That’s because there’s something exciting for everyone on this magical holiday. Whether trick-or-treating, throwing wild costume parties, or handing out candy to neighborhood kids, you simply can’t go wrong. Unless, of course, you head out in a shoddy costume that you threw together at the last minute.
That’s why we started Halloween Party Store: to make sure that EVERYONE has a great time on Halloween by dressing up in some of the best costumes available. We’re committed to offering the best selection, lowest prices and highest level of customer service possible.
Go ahead, buy a costume from us, and we DARE you to have a bad time this Halloween.”
So, with Baby Bug in my lap, we headed over to see what they had to offer. Boy, was I was pleased to see that their kids costumes were very reasonably priced and there was a wide selection to choose from. At first, Baby Bug wanted to be a blue Power Ranger or Spiderman (who’s kid is this?) but ended up deciding on Ariel (whew).
To my surprise, we received the costume within a few days and it was just as the picture showed. The smallest size they had in this particular costume was a 3T/4T so I was a little concerned that it would be too big for her. However, either the costume size runs small or Baby Bug is just big for her age because it ended up fitting perfectly. And the quality was great!
Thanks to the generosity of the Halloween Party Store, this year Baby Bug will have her very own brand-spankin’ new costume to wear! Yay!

Congratulations!
Those who know me, know I love anything that makes my life easier – especially in the kitchen.
So when I had the opportunity to sample Pillsbury Savorings Flaky Pastry Bites, I was jumped at the chance. I mean, who doesn’t love Pillsbury?
From the site: “Pillsbury Savorings Flaky Pastry Bites feature warm, flaky pastry dough wrapped around tasty fillings and come in three varieties; cheese and spinach, buffalo style chicken and mozzarella and pepperoni. They are easy to prepare (just 20 minutes in the oven) and are the perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine.”
t was super easy to prepare – just pop it in your pre-heated oven for 20 minutes and out comes a batch of warm appetizers ready to be served. Can’t get any easier than that. What I really liked was the flakiness of the crust. You couldn’t even tell it came out of the freezer.
With having kids, I don’t throw too many dinner parties anymore but I do have a family Halloween gathering coming up and I’m definitely stocking up on these delicious treats for the occasion.
Stop by Pillsbury today for your $1.00 off coupon on Savorings Flaky Pasty Bites.

Aloha Friday #49

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Today’s question is:
What is the oldest item of clothing that you own?
Organized or OCD?
Baby Bug always has to have things lined up perfectly – and I mean perfectly. If even one item is out of place, she gets very frustrated. Even her pillows and blankets have to be just so. She can only drink out of certain cups and play with specific colors of blocks.
Is this the result of an organized mind or does she have OCD? Did your children go through this phase?
