If you like personalized note cards and announcements, you’ll love Sweet-Pea Creations!
Sweet-Pea Creations was founded by Susan – a proud WAHM to two children. It all started when her first child was born and she decided to design her own birth announcements. It was such a big hit that she began to sell sell them on eBay and eventually opened her own successful online store in 2005. As they say, the rest is history.
When you stop by her site, you’ll see so many gorgeous designs on custom handmade birth and adoption announcements, baby shower invitations, baptism and christening invitations, and note cards for your special event. It’s hard to choose your absolute favorite!
However, that’s exactly what you’ll have to do because Sweet-Pea Creations has generously offered a set of personalized note cards in your choice of designs. To enter, just stop by the site before February 1st and take a look around. Then come back and mention which one you’d like to win. That’s it. A random winner will be selected on February 2nd.

- Overheard at my house:
Girlie Girl: Mommy, Googlers are bad people, right?
Me: Googlers? Um, not if they’re searching for my blog.
Girlie Girl: Huh? No Mommy, Googlers! You know, the people who take things that’s not theirs.
Me: Oh, burglerers! (sp?) - Stop by Props & Pans for my latest product review. It’s something that I personally endorse as one of the best things I’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing. Well, after the iPod Nano, that is.
- Thank you for all your advice on what to bring with us on our upcoming snow trip. I did end up buying those Cuddl Duds and I love it! I also got some great deals at Land’s End! Yay!
- Don’t forget to come back on Monday for the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival. I’ll be giving away an Insignia Pilot Video MP3 Player. I’m not kidding!
- And in celebration of Valentine’s Day:

Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
The Tessy & Tab Reading Club Giveaway
This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for your participation.
The winner is Kelli@yahoo.
Congratulations!

One thing every kid loves it’s getting things in the mail. Girlie Girl is no exception. That’s why we love the Tessy & Tab Reading Club.
From the site: “The Tessy & Tab Reading Club is the first kids magazine subscription that promotes early independent reading for preschool children. The colorful, ad-free magazines arrive in the mail twice a month with useful parent tools and fun learning activities.“
What we love most about these books is the large fonts which make reading a whole lot easier. This also ensures that you can get through the whole book in a relatively short amount of time which helps foster a feeling of accomplishment.
Our first book, Sharing New Toys, talks about playing nicely together so that everyone has fun! Each book ends with a spotlight on a particular letter and number as well as a word recognition game and a coloring page. Talk about learning fun!
The Tessy & Tab Reading Club also has a Money Manager Tool Kit which comes with two books that deal with money. It also has three cool moonjar banks for various means: sharing, saving, & spending. This helps kids understand the concept of money management.
All in all, this is a great resource for kids and parents!
Now comes the really fun part! The people of the Tessy & Tab Reading Club has generously donated:
- Super Starter Pack giveaway ($19.95 value): 4 issues mailed in your first pack and then 2 issues a month for 3 months for a total of 10 issues.
- Preschool Money Manager Toolkit giveaway ($19.95): includes parent tools and worksheets for the child, a 3-part bank, and 2 issues of Tessy & Tab
To enter, just stop by their site before February 1st and check out their gifts & toolkits. Then come back and mention which one is your favorite. That’s it! A random winner will be selected and notified on February 2nd.

Aloha Friday – Week 17

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing heavy or thought-provoking. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants!
Today’s question is:
What is your favorite quote?
I hope you weren’t expecting anything earth shattering from me because here it is:
My greatest fear is that there is no PMS and this is my personality.
