Stuck in Traffic

Today I took Girlie Girl to her swimming class afterschool where she goes 3 times a week. Even though there are other places that I’d rather be than sitting by the pool in 90 degree heat trying to occupy Baby Bug, I know that this will pay off in the long run.

On the way home, there was a 5 car accident on the freeway which tied up traffic for miles. Since I had my iPod plugged into the car stereo, I didn’t know about the accident until I was totally stuck in it. What should have been a 20 minute ride home turned out to be 90 minutes. Yikes!

Since both girls had fallen asleep as soon as they sat in their car seats and the a/c hit them, I had no one but the iPod to keep me company.

That’s when I thought . . . if I could have anyone here to keep me company, who would it be?

I would have to say my sister. Even though we fought like cats and dogs while growing up, we’ve grown very close over the years. Whenever something good or bad happens in my life, she’s the first person I think of calling. We even seem to think alike to the point where it’s sometimes scary. There were times when we went shopping at the same store and just missed each other, or we had the same thing for lunch even though we were not together, or we wore the same outfit when we dropped off our kids at school (now that was embarrassing). Sometimes I wonder if we were twins separated at birth!

I can barely keep up with all the great contests and giveaways going on in the blogosphere. It seems like I come across a new one every day. So, in order have some kind of organization in my quest to actually win something, I decided to start a new blog.

Basically, I’ll be spreading the word for any contest or giveaway that I come across in my daily internet surfing. This will also be the place where I’ll be posting all my product reviews.
